We are glad that you have found the way to our website. Here you can inform yourself about our charitable project and our virtual donation run in 2020.
About us
In 2019, Moritz
started the project We can do MORE
cycled over 3,100 km for a good cause from Copenhagen to Barcelona (see WCDM#1).
At the same time Daniel
has cycled over 4,300 km through Eastern/Southern Europe and started his first social project in 2017 under the name Laufen-Spenden-Helfen.
A phone call and the idea was born! Together we want to run a second social project under the same name We can do MORE.
How you can participate in the virtual We can do MORE charity run
- No registration necessary
- As your run is not connected to a corporate donation
we would also be happy if you could support the project with a private donation. Every Euro will benefit the project.
- Run solo or maximum in pairs (please consider social distancing) a course of your choice (3km are as great as 10km) and have fun doing it.
- Of course you can also walk, hike, stroll or do your session on the treadmill.
- You can do your activity between 01.05. and 30.06.2020 without any time limit and as often as you want.
- After your run, please upload a screenshot of your tracked activity, a picture of your running watch or simply a selfie in front of your home town sign on Instagram or in your Instagram Story and mark @wecando_more or send us an email to start@wecandomore.de.
- Motivate your friends and Family
- Don't miss any activity of the other We can do MORE participants in our Strava and Runtastic Club.
- Of course, also think about the current hygiene regulations.
The project
In December 2019 we decided to support the social project of Pastor Thomas Barungi,
since Pastor Thomas is known and respected for his good acts in Höpfingen, Daniel's home town.
Therefore, the initial plan until the end of March 2020 was to organize a donation run in Höpfingen in September 2020.
COVID-19 disrupted this plan. Giving up and postponing the project was not an option for us.

Our mission
With our virtual donation run we would like to draw attention to the problems in Uganda and report what school education means in this country. We hope to collect donations with our campaign for Blessed Adolf Kolping Education Foundation (BAKEF)
from Father Thomas Barungi
in Uganda. You can rely on 100 percent transparency.
As we know Father Thomas personally, you can rely that every Euro is donated to the project.
The costs for the project are covered by ourselves.
Blessed Adolf Kolping Education Foundation
The educational institution is located in Kakumiro, 180km northwest of the capital Kampala. The institution is a school and training centre at the same time. In addition to the normal lessons, 375 boys and girls
are taught their first skills in handicrafts, agriculture and woodwork. For this reason, the facility has a small workshop, a farm with vegetable gardens and a carpentry workshop in addition to a school building that was inaugurated in 2018. The children also receive food on site and can stay overnight at the facility.
The training centre makes an important contribution in the region to prevent the forced marriage of young girls.
+++Update from the school (June 19, 2020)+++
- The school is still closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic
- Teachers and staff get paid with school fees paid by each every family
- Since three months the school has had no income in form of school fees
- Thomas Barungi: "It's becoming really serious. If the school cannot reopen soon, we can no longer pay the teachers and have to lay them off."
